I’m a Belfast-based director and photographer making honest, cinematic work about people, place and all the bits that happen before somebody says “action”.
I like real light, real weather and people who are allowed to be themselves. My work lives somewhere between documentary and a very organised daydream.
I make short films, music work, portraits and editorial photographs across Ireland and further afield. The goal is never to make something merely polished. It should feel lived in.

How I work
We talk first. Properly. I want to know what matters, what absolutely does not, and what you hope somebody feels when the work reaches them.
On set I keep the crew appropriate, the atmosphere calm and the plan flexible enough to recognise a better idea when it arrives.

Things I believe
Small stories deserve proper attention. A good portrait is a collaboration. Weather is production design. The unscripted five seconds after a take are often the take.
And Belfast looks brilliant in the rain, which is fortunate.
